According to the company's site, 'Saltimbanco' comes from the Italian 'saltare in banco' which means "to jump on a bench". In Italian, a 'salto' is a somersault, and 'banco' is a trestle holding a board.
Comments:
Highlight of the show was probably Eddie the jester (the clown) who invited a guy from the audience to join him on stage to mime act some scenes, except that Eddie would perform the sound effects for their moves. It pretty much stole the peak of the audience's applause for the show.
